The SGEO Soccer Club is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to the Executive Board of Directors: Lorenzo Hernandez, Steven Maloney, Polly Lutz, Richard Santos Garcia, and Chris Ford.
The new board will begin developing and driving forward new strategy to build deeper relationships within the community and focus on leadership and execution of the club's primary vision to provide encouragement of soccer excellence in a fun, friendly, family atmosphere to people of all ages and abilities.
Lorenzo currently works as a Sr Project Accountant for an International Real Estate Development Company. Currently manages a portfolio which includes projects in Washington, California, and Texas. Prior to this role, he worked 15 years in the Telecom industry developing, operating, and managing datacenters in Downtown Seattle. Lorenzo has an Associate of Art’s Degree from University of Maryland, Munich while in Europe with his family as his father served in the Military and with the Department of Defense. He continued his education at Washington State University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Lorenzo has continued to progress his education efforts earning a Master of Business Administration, with emphasis Accounting, the next goal is to achieve the rigorous CPA designation.
Lorenzo’s family has lived in the Graham area for approximately 20 years. His daughters have played for the Fusion Soccer programs since 2008. He has enjoyed participating with the Soccer program as his daughters have matured and achieved success with the Premier programs. He likes to play golf as much as possible. He played approximately 5 courses of the Robert Trent Trail in Alabama and intends to finish the trek in his retirement.
My name is Steven Maloney and I grew up in the Midwest in a small town playing every sport I could. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and I have years of management experience. I also have worked volunteer roles from community organizations as well as military support. I am currently serving as a Biomedical Equipment Technician in the US Army. I am married and have three daughters of which one plays for the 08 Girls Fusion Team. I am excited to keep serving our beloved local program as we take it further into the future from its humble beginnings.
Richard Santos Garcia is Secretary at SGEO Soccer Club and a member of the Executive Board of Directors. Richard joined our club in 2019, bringing his passion and relentless focus on execution to his leadership role at SGEOSC. He was voted in as Club Secretary on February 28th, 2020.
Prior to joining SGEO Soccer Club, Richard and his daughter Annalise competed in local surrounding soccer clubs throughout Puyallup. During this time, he held team management and treasurer positions at Washington Premier Football Club, assisted with the creation and management of the team website and helped parents transition to digital media solutions as acting team photographer.
Richard has a diverse background in technology and is currently specializing as a Field Support Engineer for NetApp, the global leader in Hybrid Cloud Data Services.
Richard holds an Associates Degree in Wireless Network Administration from Florida Technical College.
Chris Ford is a Cyber Security Professional with extensive experience in leadership of computer security professionals. I manage a diverse team of geographically disbursed professionals throughout the west coast. My position is to lead my team, mentoring them in the governance of classified information systems or computers. I have two Masters degrees, Master’s in Technology and a Master’s in Business Administration with a bachelors in computer science. My passion is building high end computers for fun. My coaching experience is coaching Bethel Rec league for 3 years and Premier league with Barry Towns and Petrona Kasemeier the GU01 for 6 years ending their run undefeated for Washington cup and season. I hold a National F License and National level 2 Goalie coach. My daughter played for the GU01 team and my son plays on the B05 team.
